We all have a few false starts (anyone remember Stormy Bluff? No you don't, because it is dead since I realized that I over-scaled it horrendously and never released an alpha), so don't worry. Good luck to you, now that this thread has become a hot-spot and potential flame-zone.

I think as a guideline it would be sensible to provide ingame screenshots. I've had a habit myself of providing Hammer shots because i went through so many changes during development i wanted people to know what was going on between available playtests.

But all people really wanted was A) ingame shots and B) the oppotunity to test said map regardless of progress.
