So, my buddy: Prof. Heavy (the one I worked on Trainn Co. with) has started this YouTube series where he talks about Bumper Cars and their unknown potential.

It's really worth a watch, maybe it could bring new life to mapping and such.

Reminds me of a racing gamemode that I was working on with others back when this came out. It never really gained any attention besides being featured in one of RTGames & Serious Martins videos.
I think I played this before, but there was an actual working powerup pickup wheel thing (it even used the sounds from Mario Kart iirc).

Maybe it was a different version of it?

Edit: As for the video, he mentions cond 87, but he should have also mentioned cond 88 which adds the cage around the cart and auto-applies 87 as well. Which makes it more obvious why you can't move.

As far as I'm aware there's been multiple versions of this gamemode. Our power-ups were instant upon pick up sadly and based on your position in the race. Although we have a more, real-time lap system with almost accurate position tracking in real-time as well.
