1-year, at TF2maps

Sooo... I just realized... I've been here a whole year. A year and 5 days, to be exact...

I've seen a lot of stuff here. I've seen people come and go. I've seen people come and stay. I've learned a lot of stuff here, not just as a mapper, but... as a person. I've nearly left the site, twice, and, well, without any better way to describe it, I had to put myself through a bit of shit, but I'm still here, I'm still mapping, and, let's just say I'm glad for it.

I'd really like to thank everyone here, as, you've all been great friends to me. Hell, I even met someone on the site, Ades, and he's basically one of my best friends now.

And you know, now that I've gotten myself into this deep, monologue... it really sucks, being an introvert in highschool... I've been teased quite a bit, I get called the usual stuff, nerd, geek, most of us have been there... I'm even kind of wondering if I have Asperger syndrome, I mean I do have friends, over here where I live... but... it's nice, having a place to go to, to just, relax, talk, and be yourself. Not just some quite kid over by himself.

Because... it's very easy for some people to forget... this is a place. Sites... on the internet... are a place... and more importantly, there are people... at those places.

People that you almost never have to be afraid to talk to...


But, anyway, I'm starting to ramble a bit here. I figured it would make sense to do something here to celebrate, so, I've posted a link to every TF2 map I've posted on this site, excluding joke maps. (I can't quite remember the order though)

I've been here longer than you, and the only thing i'm working on so far is a weeny little arena map, what amazes me is the amount of different styles and different game modes you've tried out.
But you've never seemed to finish any of them

Take it from me: school fucking sucks, and your life will get much, much, much better once you get to college/university. You'll be surrounded by much more mature people with similar interests to you. If you ignore all the student loans you'll be racking up, it's actually pretty great!

About a year and 2 weeks ago, I made Canal.

Holy fuck I have really gained some skills.

Kidding, but I really hope I stick around for a few years as well. I may be terrible at hammer (for now), but you guys are just some gosh-darn friendly people, and I have a few dozen ideas bobbing in my head, and a few half finished maps that might be pretty good if I ever do finish them.

In fact, the thing that inspired me to learn to make maps was playing hoodoo on my community server and getting pissed off. So I guess YM brought me here?
