Additionally, according to the blog, the Pyro is female and the update has been pushed back to the 21st (Thursday)

The inception of two updates simultaneously (as well as the fact the page image is a followup to the "Razorback" image) is incredibly awesome. I must say, pretty nifty unlockables yet again as well. Valve's really on the road to redemption. :D

after looking twice on the tf2 blog, it sounds like the spy update is the REAL update, and everything before was just... crap? The list of updates says "Spy Update", rather than "Sniper + Spy"-Update. I'm quite confused.

I can't belief that is was all fake... but why should valve rename the whole pack into "Spy Update"...

Yeah, it'd be great if it were both the sniper and spy updates combined, but when I first read the day 4 update, I took it as the sniper update all being a lie. It does seem like a shame to waste those 2 other days of sniper updates though. Of course, the shield thing didn't make much sense, but without seeing it in action.... who knows?

If they are releasing both the sniper and spy update together, the real question should be - how are they going to reveal the sniper's last unlockable? If they did all three AND THEN did the spy thing, it would make more sense for them both to be released together, but with a sniper unlockable yet to be revealed and with the sniper dead, I'm not sure how they would reveal the last unlockable. Of course, this being semi-fantastical, they could do just about anything to reveal it, like the sniper being an enemy spy disguised as a sniper, with the real sniper using the last unlockable to kill the remaining spy.

Having two class updates at once may just help out the after update single class bum rush so that there are at least 2 different classes being played rather than just everybody being spy.

That's something I've been wanting ever since they started updating the classes, and that's why I truly hope it's a double-update. I'm not too excited to play against teams that are 80% spies or 80% snipers, but if they were a mixture of the two it won't be so bad.

One thing im sure, in day 3, the spys revolver is different, the barrel is a different color, its longer and thinner. Definitely a new unlock for the spy. And yes when reading Day 4 it seems like the whole Sniper update was all fake. But, look back in the blog post you can see that robin walker has posted a ingame screenshot of the arrow. I hardly doubt that they would spend time on modeling and skinning a arrow just for a small screenshot.

But then again, in day 4, it says The Spy Update with the word sniper under the word spy, which can mean that the spy update will be instead of the sniper update.

And to add to that, it now says The Spy update at teamfortress.com to the bottom right at the Major updates. It does not say The sniper update.

The url is now www.teamfortress.com/spyupdate/ in all the days, including the ones containing the sniper unlocks.

So the sniper update is probably not going to happen.

And, yes Valve did say she in the blog post when referring to the Pyro. But that feels like it was just a part of the game?

Also, is it just me or are the Days getting darker and darker? D:

I'm still in awe. Chapeau, Valve, chapeau!

Although the update is listed as the Spy update now, I guess we all agree that it's a double update (Sniper stuff is still listed as day 1 & 3). Let's do some math: Update time has been pushed back to 21st.

So we have another four days for:
Sniper unlock 3
Spy unlock 1 and 2
and... hopefully custom maps.

Still missing on that list: A "Meet the ..." video, achievements and something about the hats.

I'm really sure that Robin Walker said that the sniper won't receive his update alone. And they would have removed the sniper related stuff if it was all a fake, wouldn't they? I don't know what to think now.

Yeah, I'm leaning toward the Sniper stuff being real. Because the new maps were real, right? And they did have that arrow demonstration post, like Fearlezz said.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's just to show that the spy has taken over. I'm expecting the sniper to retaliate at some point.

Also, the sniper...might get a knife update, too? So there's 3 more days for spy weapons, which is why the update is pushed back?
