An update to Team Fortress 2 has been released. The update will be applied automatically when you restart Team Fortress 2. The major changes include:

  • Fixed a dedicated server crash caused by clients disconnecting while touching a trigger_hurt entity
  • Fixed an exploit that involved players killing teammates with the meteor spell by switching to SpectatorFixed a bug that allowed weapons to be equipped in invalid loadout slots
Note missed from the previous update:

  • Fixed a rendering problem for Linux clients using AMD drivers

Congratulations tf2 bot on becoming an Expert member!

Somehow it managed to pick up the TF2 update even when there isn't a post on the blog.

Has anyone been able to tell what's inside it? I can sort of see something but I can't make out what it is.

I'm no expert but I'd say scalding hot potatoes.

Meh! I am a mapper, I've been around the map stuff, I've only seen snowplow stuff, nothing else for the update. 'tis all snowplow to me!

(I mean, I called major updates by the map that came out with them too, way back when valve actually did things like that. heavy update? no that was the goldrush update)

I wonder if that's the rendering problem they're referring to. The big one. The one that caused terrible framerates on perfectly decent hardware. The one that people assumed was just the engine port sucking in general.

Really don't feel like rebooting my computer just to find out.
