Hi there :)

The lighting is still very WIP, but I'm going for a stadium like effect where the play area is all lit up nice and bright and the exterior is a little dark.

Whats not in the screenshots (because I'm still porting it) is my thunderstorm system from Supply that I'm bringing over.

I think its some sort of Train Depot so far. I'm not sure!

The texture on the ground is a little eww, for my liking. Otherwise, great start.

Why are there so many buried containers?

Perhaps it's an overwhelmed manure management facility? ;)

I figured its been raining for a while so its starting to flood.

Coming up with a story to fit those buried containers and then pushing that idea throughout the rest of the map is probably key. The styling looks very much like pl_happycow, which makes me happy.

I've never seen happycow, I'll go check it out.

Who knows! I don't know what it is yet :)

Day 2 brings brighter skies, and a lil' more detail around the corner. Most of the improvements here are under the hood, and will hopefully give a little extra juice when the map runs :)

Wow, that's looking really good. The ground isn't as distracting with more textures to add more interest.

You know, I already have a system built to do the lightning and the thunder.

BUT, I'm using L4D assets in it. I'll swap em out for yours :) Thanks a lot! I will credit you in the OP.

EDIT: In mapping news, I went to an amusement park today and slacked off. I got a few more buildings done at A though, and more technical changes.

Some more updates. The rains in up to Cap A, 3D Skybox is set, and the thunder system is crackling in the background. Plus more remapping and performance improvements. Lighting is still lacking because I've just been doing geometry. I'll do that now.

Don't judge it so hard! Remember what the doctor said about your blood pressure!

EDIT: Ignore those lighting errors, they're not actually there! I photoshopped them in!

Bunch of new screenshots. I started doing passes on the area after A, and have been working on B for the past hour or so. Theres a rough draft of what I'm going for in the screenshots, and that saw is in the play area.

I ended up pushing the point building back so its flush against the wall. It gets rid of that horrible dead end area and moves that space to the other side where it'll get more play time.

Also, I replaced that one way door with the garage door that you can't see through. It didn't sit well with me to allow people to see into spawn.

I'll replace the pictures in the OP with their corresponding shots from here.
