Since I imagine a lot of you looked at the polypack contest and went "hmm cool" then haven't looked at it again since I'll mimic my thread over there, here.
I'm going with the medic with a rough theme of heavy duty medicine.
So far I've thumbnailed medigun and backpack replacements. Started modeling the medigun as well as another cosmetic item I'll reveal later (once I can figure out how to generate good normal maps)
Medigun thumbnails:
General feel was that #3 and #5 were best so I started working on a merged version:
No one had suggested doing a backpack replacement for the medic and as I'm a fan of non-hat cosmetic I thought the backpack would be a perfect place to start.
With the backpack, medigun and the other cosmetic I'm working on I've got the three required models however I feel the more I make, the better a chance I have of winning. I may even attempt a second class if I have enough time after exams.
Then my just for fun functionality stuff (since it's not part of the contest but cool anyhow)
