I i do to, so many of my friends bought braid on the community page their was over 15 people who now owned braid i almost bought it without even looking at it. Then i saw the demo played it for 2 min and didnt feel like doing anything more, even though it looked kind off cool.

How do you like it?

Nine: that sums it up pretty well.

A lot got pushed to 2010. But in October there's still Forza 3 and Uncharted 2. Uncharted 2 alone is going to steal most of my studying-time.

edit: November 17th... is that Assassin's Creed 2? Dude, if you've got a PS3, there's not way you should be looking forward to that game over Uncharted 2. I played U2 this summer - it will blow you away.

L4D2 and Assassin's Creed 2. Sod Uncharted. If you're not drawing a big fat stiffy from those two names alone there's something wrong with you.

Braid went by pretty quickly for me. A few hours and now all I have to look forward to are most of the secret stars and speed-runs. (User created levels could be an interesting way to extend it, except I think most people would end up making trial-and-error jump-just-right puzzles rather than intelligent ones.)

Considering what happened to the guy seduced in the AC2 video and the appearance of the infected in L4D, I'd say something's wrong with you if you are...

OK, low blow.

Assassin's Creed 1 was kind of mediocre. That's not to say the sequel won't be better, but the first looked just as awesome pre-release and look how it turned out. I'll wait and see.

I liked Assassin's Creed, yeah, it was repetitive and boring at times, but I found it pretty enjoyable. And Italy during the Renaissance seems like a much more interesting environment than desert, more desert, and some more desert.

I have high hopes for AC2.

I'm just wishing L4D2 and AC2 didn't come out on the same day. I'll probably end up playing L4D2 first though, just because it's Valve.

why would you look forward to mw2

single player is nice but multiplayer makes me vomit

burn the heretic for his blasphemous utterances :D

And Sgt. Sausage i love Braid, i think its a jewel in the rough, there are not alot of games that can make you really think, the music is stunning too, i liked it so much i bought the music for more than i paid for the game

I think my money this year will be spent only on AC2 and certainly MW2, L4D2 hasnt appealed to me so far

If I had to choose, I'd do AC2, mainly because I'm not that big on horror/survival-horror etc. (Although Shaun of the Dead was pretty good...)

First one was awesome. And it's rather peculiar that your reason to not look forward to AC2 is that you thought AC1 was mediocre... And you're hyped about uncharted...?

Logic not found. Does not compute.

I fervently hope there's not an age rating on the L4D2 steam page. Then I shall sneakily use the American rating instead of the BBFC one.

Caliostro, Assassin's Creed 1 was mediocre, by the time you'd done the first 3 missions, you then had to basically play the whole 3 missions several times over again, throw in mediocre AI and boring combat, there wasn't much going for it except a really cool story.

If they revitalise the combat in AC2, and add many more true open world elements to it (I've already seen shops and sidequests, so that's looking good) then it'll be great.

To quote GameTrailers "Assassins Creed is one of those games that breaks new ground yet fails in nailing some fundamentals"

It was repetitive. The combat was pretty to see, but boring to actually play and the fact that you couldn't skip cutscenes always made me want to fly to the Ubisoft HQ just to brutalize whomever was responsible for it... Yet it was so above average it's not even funny.

But then again, it's like Fallout 3. Some people rushed through the story and then complained it was small... Those of us who understood it as the sandbox game it was pointed and laughed. AC to me was very similar. It was a game made to dick around in. Like prototype, but medieval. It was immensely fun to just run around rooftops or murder someone and get the whole town's worth of soldiers on your heels... Or try to murder someone heavily guarded without a peep. Hell, even the assassinations were all varied in their setup... Just a shame the game forgot this was the fun part and made us sit through endless dialogue... If I HAD the chance to skip the dialogue, and could in fact go back and dick around rooftops without having to sit through a 10 minute dialogue, I'd still be playing it regularly today.

MW2, L4D2 and Star Wars Old Republic are the only games I expect to buy within the next few months.

AC never apealed to me, nor does AC2 or Uncharted.

So am I the only one waiting for Star Wars?

Yes.

It looks like generic WoW knock off #2425234624 with a star wars skin. Hey, at least it'll have a real story apparently...

But then again maybe I'm not the best person to judge it... All MMOs seem like bland inbred clones of each other (and ultimately WoW) to me...
