"wtf is he doing with those displacements"

On 15/09/2023, I was suddenly struck with inspiration for the idea of an intel room which was a "house on a hill" with a one-way sniper perch surrounding it.
I quickly expanded and iterated on the idea until I got... whatever this is.

The idea is that it'll be more back-and-forth than your typical CTF map, because of a few factors:
  • You're given a route from spawn to the top of mid, which essentially lets you skip the midfight and go straight to the enemy flag
  • However, since this is one-way it won't let you easily escort the flag back through it
  • Picking up the flag also slows you for 7.5 seconds and prevents you from rocket jumping for 60 seconds, so you'd better be damn sure you're gonna win the fight at the enemy base if you wanna steal their flag
  • Dying in the enemy base will always incur a 20+ second respawn time
  • Mid has little health but everywhere else has a lot of health
  • All this means that if you win a teamfight at your base, the enemy team should be too dead (20+ second respawn) to stop you at mid, so you'll be able to reach their base, whereupon winning the second teamfight will let you escort their flag back to your base and capture
So, why the ungodly name "bruhboulecross"?
Well, on 19/12/2021, I made a1 of cp_bruhstbowl for the 2021 72hr Jam, and I guess I just felt nostalgic.
Plus, mid does have an underpass, and the map does have death pits and one-way dropdowns, and plenty of places for snipers to play...
I'd say the name fits.
