I'm really regretful to say that Chimney is of poor quality. I know the map is trying it's best, but I genuinely struggle to find good things to say about it. The gameplay is really flawed, in my opinion; From the oppressive heights of the capture area, to the cramped and often claustrophobic alleyways or indoor areas, to the less-than-ideal pickup location. It's just not a FUN map. It's missing multi-flag gameplay which is really lame (I am an Invade CTF enjoyer, I want to play more Invade CTF). I think the custom announcer is cute... in theory. Santa just wears on me really fast, especially since he's talking to you so much since the map is "short." The detailing is also not very good. I can tell effort was put in but like, a lot of the texturework is really flat or just... out of place. (See: the RED and BLU coloured support beams on each team's main building) The entire scene is really washed out, which in any other environment I would probably appreciate more, but with Smissmas it really goes against the spirit. After having played this map through most versions, seeing it change and "grow," I can without a doubt say that I will never recommend Chimney to servers. It is a genuinely bad example of what makes Invade CTF the enjoyable experience it should be, and I think it is a blemish on what is otherwise a *really* strong up-and-coming mapper's resume. 1/10.
