These are the improved snow particles I created for the map "Coal Pit" from Smissmas 2022.
Innovations in tf2 snow technology:
- Snow particles can be kept cheaply within boundaries, to prevent passing through walls without using collision detection.
- Snow particles fade out at a distance before being culled completely, keeping them cheap to use without jarring pop-in/out.
- Reduced particle amount/speed to lessen visual noise and improve readability.
