So I need to make a new map. In fact I'm getting desperate! But as usual, I've no ideas. To start off, I'd like to ask what map types you'd like to see more of. Maybe there's a type you'd reccommend I make. Note that at this point, I'm not interested in making up my own game type.

While at the moment it's just the game type I'm after, if you do have any actual map ideas (theme, location etc) I'd still love to know.

evryone is making a pl map it seems now, and thats great, but I think we still need more quality dustbowl style maps, the ones I know of: castle, bloodstained, dustbowl (duh), and siege.

You know, when I saw Youme's error this morning, before others had posted, I was tempted to go grab his ./facepalm link :)

Looks like TC is looking popular at the moment.
Obviously, that's the game type that requires the biggest map and most time! Urgh.

I'd love to see someone take another good crack at a one-flag reverse CTF map (where you have to push the flag into the enemy's base to capture). The only one I've really seen is Jinxed, and while it has issues (snipers?), it's still extremely fun to play.

I was thinking about doing a remake of TFC's map "epicenter" with a TF2 style. Anybody advocating this?

I was considering remaking that map, since it was one of the ones I enjoyed. Would be great to have someone do it (in TF2 style, like you said). I would never get around to it :)

I will consider it for my next project, will be a hard decision because I already got some nice concept for a dustbowl style map worked out. The maps I had most fun with were hunted, avanti, warpath and epicenter. It's sad to me that the warpath remakes don't look so much like TF2 like they could. Also the payload type is kinda nice but it's just not like hunted.

I'm pretty sure I already saw an Epicentre remake somewhere out there. Though it's likely it was just a direct port of the TFC map. Are all the ents there for that kind of gameplay?

I know you could easily have the enemy's intel start in your base and the cap point be in their base.. but that's not quite right.

I've experimented with making a reverse ctf, and overall everything worked. The problem I ran into was when you picked up the enemy's intel there's a message that pops up telling you to take it back to your base. I'm not sure how to change/remove it, or if it's even possible to do so.
