I think you could just e-mail Gabe up and ask if you can have a tour round. I know it worked for these guys and they got a load of free stuff.

Me and Hanz had a similar idea a few weeks ago, but on a lower scale:

The center of Western-Europe is Brussels (The EU is centered there for a reason), so we could organize a meeting there. And I'm willing to organize an event like that.

I think something else could be organized (on both coasts) for that huge country that revolted a few years ago on the worst side of the ocean, and in England's former prison on the worlds worst side of the world.

I could drive to Valve HQ in ~30 minutes to an hour from my house...

But I don't know that I'd go for a meet-up, unless it was pre-arranged and absolutely guaranteed to happen once people arrived (as in, not just people showing up and spontaneously asking at the front gate if they can come in for a tour, only to be turned away). If it was all cleared beforehand with the Valve people, then ... maybe.
