My mind admittedly leapt to sentries as soon as I read the update. It almost seems like the Direct Hit was designed for taking them out.
I also think that being effective with the Direct Hit isn't going to be as easy as people think. Yes, the rockets move nearly twice as fast, but the things were so goddamn slow before that it basically means they are now going to travel at a decent speed rather than a totally dodgable one. Shooting people from a distance or running around tight corners will now be even more challenging with the reduced splash damage.

Am I the only one thinking about the implications for pyro here? I mean, rockets going faster, fire resistant sheilds...

The sticky launcher is also a secondary Rand, but alot of noob demos use that more often ;)

An unlock that is a variation of the existing one and keeps the general idea is just how it should be done in my opinion. And the fact that it increases the potential of good soldiers and is useless to bad players, is an awesome gesture to the competitive players.

This is more or less perfect. :3

What an awesome weapon. It's just like the FaN in the way that it does the same job but from a different angle. :D But I fear it's another nail in the Heavy's coffin though. 80% faster firing speed. Ouch.

That, and sentires, are two of the things I'm worried for when it comes to the Direct Hit. I mean, since they pratically stand still, it would only take a couple of seconds to completely destroy either of them...

I think sentries wont be affected, you can also not jarate them, or do headshots.

Jumps will not be affected either i think, as the rocket is at the floor too fast for this to make a difference (maybe you will have to jump half a second earlier, but wayne)
