Tired of the Direct Hit's Ridiculous Firing Sound?

Though I'm not realy a fan of the Direct Hit, it came to my attention that its firing sound was a) ridiculous and b) very easy to replace.
For those who dislike the sounds, here's a little soundpack for you. Just drop the 'weapons' folder into tf/sounds and it should work. This replaces the firing and crit firing sounds of the Direct Hit with a slightly modified variant of UT3's rocket launcher blended with the Direct Hit's rocket travel sound, which in my opinion is actually quite fitting.
Please tell me of any improvements I might make, as well as feedback on the volume, pitch, etc.

You had to extract the sounds and rename them, and put them into the right folder.

This does not work with sv_pure, right?

How could one replace it with the original rocket's sounds? :blushing:

As in the TFC ones? Just extract them and put them in the same foldier that I did and give them the same names. I don't have TFC unfortunately, but if you do and you can give me the sounds I'll do it for you.

EDIT: Oh the original rocket launcher. Just extract the rocketlauncher sounds with GCFscape and rename them in the format I used.

This does not work with sv_pure, right?

To my knowledge it shouldn't work.

I dont find it actually that bad. The sound represents the power and speed of the direct hit and for that reason im sticking with it.

That's the TFC rocket sound. Might as well link it since i already drop boxed it for steamchat after extracting. It works a lot better than i even imagined.

It's already renamed. You might need to make the "weapons" folder if you don't have one already, and drop it in there in your sound folder.
