In a press email, Valve announced a new experience for the HTC Vive. Titled "The Lab," this free game will bring players back to an Aperture Laboratories pocket universe. More info to be revealed at GDC next week.

Valve has announced plans to debut "The Lab," a compilation of new VR experiments, at next week's Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, CA. Set in a pocket universe of Aperture Science, "The Lab" offers multiple ways to enjoy room-scale VR. It will be offered free of charge via Steam this spring. More information will be made available next week at GDC.

Finally a new game from Valve! Its nice that it works without VR, but damn, VR portal experience would be awesome. Shame that they don't sell VR headsets in retail stores here in Finland.
It's not a game. More of a tech demo.

I would say... probably a tech demo/set of experiences. The press release was pretty ambiguous, but most sources are reporting that this isn't a full-fledged title.

The aperture robot repair demo is a tech demo, The Lab will be a full game. Albeit probably a very small game, but a full game none the less.
"compilation of new VR experiments" sounds like a VR demo to me though, like the Aperture Robot Repair demo.

We'll see tomorrow when GDC kicks off (if they announce it tomorrow).
