I main scout a lot, though I've never played any competitive TF2. So if you need a scout, I'll gladly take on a good challenge and see what I can do.

I've played plenty of lobbies, tried with a uni team to take part in div 6 (we're terrible) and when I've played in lobbies I've usually taken the least-favourites engineer and Heavy. And I'm even EU. Sign me up!

Dr. Element, note that if you are actually going to play medic, you need to be an HLO buddy? You will need to look into that. See this.

What about our team name? We need our punniest minds on this asap. And Frozen, I'm not sure whether I misinterpreted it, but I felt that it meant "all buddies had to be medics" rather than "all medics had to be buddies". Anyone see what I'm saying?

EDIT: oh, and Trotim, out of curiosity, what's wrong with the whitelist? I will admit that some of the stuff is a little weird, but I've never found it particularly disagreeable. Just interested.

I could go on about this but of the imo least controversial ones I don't think Holiday Punch, Carbine, RTR deserve to be banned. Reserve Shooter and Diamondback are iffy to me too. For the others I at least understand what the reasoning is even if I'm not convinced it's necessary to outright blacklist them...

For the record in the last ETF2L HL challenge I played in, Homewrecker and Degreaser were banned "for good reasons" as well. Things have improved since then but I can't shake the feeling it's a little too arbitrary

-Holiday punch can block ubers, so it's banned.
-Don't know why the carbine is banned.
-The red tape recorder is guaranteed to take 1 level off of any building regardless of anything the engineer does, which makes it OP in highlander.
-Reserve shooter is OP on pyro (against scouts), and also very buggy.
-Diamondback gives you a crit for something which is itself a reward. Generally considered OP.

Mostly obvious to me, but if you aren't "in the know" perhaps not.

Just gonna bump this up so it appears on the recent discussion list. We have 7 people currently thinking about playing, and we're missing players for demo, Soldier or spy (depending on what Waffe plays). Egan, I know you play demoman all the time - do you want to play? Having said that, this is an EU tournament.

Unfortunately I will probably be holidaying for about 10 days over the course of the Highlander Open. For this reason you should probably take me off the provisional list, but I might still be able to sub for any class. Alternatively, if anyone only wanted to play heavy for 1 of the weeks, we could make an arrangement there.
