I submitted my artwork, but it does not have that blue box that says download now. Does that mean I wont get the medal? Because my steam account is linked and I put it in the 72hr entries. It doesn't have that blue box that says download now next to it. Does that mean I get no medal if that download box is not there?

It seems you just chose not to attach a file to your download, but that's fine because you still have the image in the description. Your entry is all good!

I wan't to start work on a small map but because there is only 48 hours left I'm definitely not going to finish it. As long as there is an objective and stuff am I allowed to post it and finish it at a later date? If I decide to do this of course.

As long as it's ready to play (not fullbright, no leaks etc.), you can post it and then always improve it after the 72hrs are over. Whatever versions you submitted before the 72hr period is up will be the one accepted in the jam.
