what server is gameday on?

It seems gameday happened on the US server.

Gotta apologise for my absence; contrary to popular belief, no i was not drunk, i had to take my step-nan up to hospital because she broke her hip (...ironicly, of all things for an old person to do). I'm glad gameday went ahead even though all i managed to do was set the schedule. Thanks, to who ever loaded the maps on the server.

Unfortunately i have some other bad news, i wont be running a gameday next sunday because it is my birthday. So i probably will be drunk that time.

Anyway, I'll try and sort the demos and feedback out for you guys.

My map won't load, and I really have no idea why not this time. I recompiled as cp_hexa_a2c (which I know absolutely for a fact is a unique name). mat_specular 0, buildcubemaps, quit, pakrat textures in, .bzip the file, upload the .bz2, delete the .bsp in my maps folder, download the one off the server during an impromptu... and it STILL says my version differs from the server's.

[edit] Other people can load the map fine, as long as they load it through the console.

Is it possible to put in the OP wether the gameday is on the EU server or the US server? Then you won't have people asking it every sunday and you can just switch each week: EU, then US, then EU again, etc.

I usually do switch between them, but sometimes it's better to do US, because there's more players available. Or because Okrag misses a weekday event and i end up doing an extra EU to be fair.

People asking what server the gameday is on isn't an issue and the IP gets distributed with the event announcement.

not putting whether its eu/us in all places is just sloppy not that its hard to figure out which server it is once a couple people have joined.

I don't do it because i don't know what's best until a couple hours before. It's not a case of being lazy. It's a case of what's appropriate when the time comes as gamedays have become slightly eratic. As i said. The server IP is announced with the event. It's not hard to figure out, if the non-regular players can fill the correct server then the map authors should be able to figure it out too.
