    many will better know me as Sexy Bread. I usually tend to keep my maps out of the public's eyes but I'll make this thread because its getting closer to completion. This is my first publicly released map.


    Anyway... pl_blackwood! a one stage Alpine themed PL map!
    The map was built around maybe 12-24 players. It's not too big but not too cramped. Thanks goes to Nineaxis for the signs!

    Yeah yeah it's half textured, I'm still trying to fine tune the gameplay before I finish detailing everything. Here's some pics for you guys.

    Still looks a tad shitty but hey, thats why its still in alpha! :D

    What's the area in the center with the tracks bending to the left? Looks like a good potential starting area. The rest of the map looks flat and has no height variance, I'd work on mixing it up a bit otherwise players may become disinterested after a while. The last point also seems a bit too Badwater inspired, try and disguise that :)

    I agree with toutfou, there definately could be more elevation in the game area. There are a lot of long straightaways that could be boring and too easy for snipers to dominate on. Adding elevation to some of these areas would probably balance gameplay a bit (snipers again, soldiers have more trouble firing on slants because they can't go for an enemies feet, etc.) Consider, for example, raising the entire left section so the cart is pushed up, loops, then moves back down.

    Maybe wobble the track a bit more too, in some area's it's very long and straight.

    Updated to a8!

    - New textured areas, Yeah i know it looks pretty shitty still but its an improvement.
    - New area added behind cap 3
    - Some minor fixes/changes
