I like the alpha texturing, you'll find you get more stuck into your map as you go. I tend to get inspiration, build perhaps a quarter of the map, then i have to push myself to get to the half way point. Afterwards i tell myself i've got this far if i'm still having trouble inspiring myself but usually one thing leads to another.

Can you guys tell me what you think of this layout? The payload goes through the tunnel, the reds will come from the cliff.

hmm generally people put the grey dev tex on floors 2 make it easier 2 distinguish between floors an walls

Just one little thing. I see your textures aren't lining up, and it looks to be by 8 units or so. That might cause problems with aligning your real textures later.

Don't worry about that, all these brushes aren't permanent, and I can just use the clipping tool if they don't match up.

like i said before try changing the floor texture so people get a better depth perception. otheriwse its looking good so far

first pic: looks very nice (dont forget to change the skybox texture tho! :p)
2nd pic: i take it there wil be a building in front of the where u took the shot?..
3rd pic: that a sentry /health ammo pack spot on the right?...
4th pic: need more lights obviously and also u have some light leaks down the bottom near the stairs. not sure what it is... maybe a func detail stuffin it up dno

Thanks for the feedback.
2nd: I haven't decided whats going there yet, maybe a building that you can enter, or one just for looks.
3rd: I'm going to make a wall next to the far right entrance. all it's there for is just so the red's can get to that part of the map.
4th: Yeah I don't know whats going on there, It might be my really messy brush work, since what I've been doing is making a big brush and then clipping it instead of making lots of brushes, so theres lots of unnecessary splits in the walls.
