New Shiny Badges

I know drpepper, that you had just made some shiny new badges for us sponsors and veterans.
But the more I looked at them, the more they seemed, not "really" shiny and a little dull colored(like not very saturated).

SO, I had a little extra time today and took that time to revamp your awesome badges to make them look just a little better IMO. Here they are below and I hope that everyone else likes them as well. :O

EDIT: Since it seems that the voting is basically over I have removed the 2 lowest votes from this main post. the only ones left are the top 2 which basically tied. I also added a new category for the new server(credit is givin' to flame for the idea). I still await a response on this thread and idea from drpepper, but hopefully he will show back up soon. =)

The reason for the bigger text it to make it look sharper and easier to see. People like myself who are running a higher resolution tend to have trouble seeing smaller blurry text. That is the main reason for it being bigger. That as so it filled up more space making it seem not as empty.

I would like to know your defition of "sleek", if it is one of these then the old once fit it less than the new ones. Lol

For that, I threw up another badge that ahs the old $$ signs for the sponsors since I think that's the main one that looks different.

To be honest the size is basically the same the old ones dimensions are 150x22 as to where the new ones are 150x25. I just like keeping things on a nice grid and not have odd obscure pixels sizes.

The gray/black across them has very little gradient and is a perfect like, plus the text is a different color in both areas. Neither of them look shiny. I don't think they were ever meant to. It's just a two-color bar. (for the record, I can't stand all the stupid super-shiny-glass things getting into UIs lately)

Is there a reason you made them bigger? To be perfectly honest, if we are going to change them for the sake of changing them, I would say make them smaller and remove the "TF2Maps.net" part allowing the other word to be larger. Because really, we can see this is TF2Maps.net so it doesn't need to be on there.

I'm with Boojum: keep them smaller (150x20?), remove TF2Maps.net, and then you can still have larger text. And keep the old icons (except for your hat, which has a nicer angle to it).

I like the newer look, but I don't like them being so large.

LOL! Picky Boojum is Picky
The other font actually only looks good in the size that I have it so I tried to find another one to compensate for it. I just didn't want the badges to look to spacey or open so I tried to fill in as much area as possible. (Goes to make more magic happen)


EDIT: Made some more magic happen. Better worse? Looks cleaner, font is smaller sized.
