Mysterious Birds in Valve Maps?

I've been noticing some odd white birds in the TF2 official valve maps. Anyone else noticed this. Oh and, I'm going to get some pictures soon.

INFO:
The bird appears in valve maps in 1 specific place (More than once on multiple stage maps), and is a white bird, possibly a dove, that explodes on touch with projectiles and players. As far as I know the explosion doesn't deal damage.

ALSO:
If someone's on any valve maps, or these maps (well they're valve maps too of course) could you look out for the birds and tell me if you see them?

EDIT:

Just loaded up and ran around dustbowl out of curiosity. I see birds in the same spots as in Pyromancer's pictures :O They don't move at all and explode when you shoot them.

(also I actually made a post, it's a sign of the apocalypse)

Sorry I missed the other thread thing, but I too think it may be a meet the medic reference. Especially since there is an achievement for the medic including a bird, you know the one where you have to get top points without killing anyone? Could be.

It's definetely a meet the medic hint.

This is backed up by the achivment with the picture of the bird on it.

Also a question for Pyromancer: Do you play Team Fortress 2 on that computer?

This reminds me of the mysterious radios in Portal more than a year ago, although I doubt that this is any sign of TF3. Are there any sounds for the birds? Valve likes to hide things in sound files.

EDIT: I just loaded a map with birds on it, and did some poking around with console commands. It has its own entity name: "entity_bird" here is the output for an ent_info on it:

Code:
] ent_info entity_bird
  output: OnIgnite
  output: OnUser1
  output: OnUser2
  output: OnUser3
  output: OnUser4
  input: skin
  input: SetBodyGroup
  input: Ignite
  input: IgniteLifetime
  input: IgniteNumHitboxFires
  input: IgniteHitboxFireScale
  input: BecomeRagdoll
  input: SetLightingOriginHack
  input: SetLightingOrigin
  input: fademindist
  input: fademaxdist
  input: TeamNum
  input: SetTeam
  input: Kill
  input: KillHierarchy
  input: Use
  input: Alpha
  input: AlternativeSorting
  input: Color
  input: SetParent
  input: SetParentAttachment
  input: SetParentAttachmentMaintainOffset
  input: ClearParent
  input: SetDamageFilter
  input: EnableDamageForces
  input: DisableDamageForces
  input: DispatchEffect
  input: DispatchResponse
  input: AddContext
  input: RemoveContext
  input: ClearContext
  input: DisableShadow
  input: EnableShadow
  input: AddOutput
  input: FireUser1
  input: FireUser2
  input: FireUser3
  input: FireUser4

It looks suspiciously like the set of inputs/outputs for a HL2 npc, but for now all it does is sit around and explode.

It can probably be placed in a map without any keyvalues. Spamming "ent_create entity_bird" can make a zillion of them:

Creepy...

Naw, it looks like it's derived from prop_dynamic or something.
