Just by looking at the screenshots:
Screenshot 1: Try to avoid using colored lighting to light up areas, like the red lights, as it makes it hard to tell which team players near it are.
Shot 2: This is insanely dark, lighten that up a bit.
Shot 3/all screenshots: dont use the orange dev texture for walls, as it is very bright, ugly, and hurts the eyes. Instead, use the gray dev textures for walls. In screenshot 1, you used it on the chair; thats okay. I think its good for using as accents and small things, but not like every wall like in screen shot 3.

While this is pretty good visually, unfortunately it just won't work as a TF2 map. Half-Life was a single player adventure game and TF2 is a multiplayer game with classes, so the level design is vastly different. Here's why this won't work:
    • Dark areas are ok in singleplayer but in multiplayer all they do is confuse other players and make it difficult to determine team color.
    • The single paths and narrow hallways means soldier, demo, sniper, and engineer will be unstoppable while scouts suffer.
    • The tiny spawn room and single exit means it will be easy to spawncamp.
    • The entire map is really small and cramped, so I suspect it will always stalemate.
I'd recommend just making an entirely new layout that's fit for the multiplayer class gameplay of TF2.

This looks like a map I played, cp_blackmesa
It looks VERY familiar. The first and 2nd screenshot told me that is must be an edit,
Nice job. But the other people who replied first (NickTF, soosh) listen to their feedback..
    Overall it is a 9/10.

    Ty for your feedback. :)
1: The red light in the first screenshot is a blinking light. I want it to blink for a few seconds, if the enemy has taken the intellegence.. idk yet if this is even possible but.. meh
2: Yeah, i'll probably do that. Currently most of the lights still are the original ones form Half-Life 1, so i haven't changed it yet.
    3: uhm.. ok ._.

Ty for your feedback too. :)
1: Yep, i'll light it up.
2+4: I'm thinking about adding an outside area between the two bases, where you can rocket jump around 'n' stuff.
3: Yeah, you're probably right at this point. I'll see how i can change this while maintaining Half-Life 1's style.

Ty, haven't heard of cp_blackmesa yet, but i really like how it combines TF2's and HL1's artstyle.

That would be great. Unfortunately, I don't think you're going to be able to closely mimic any actual locations in Black Mesa and also get good gameplay from it (in TF2). "Black Mesa" is still an aesthetic that hasn't been done much, which means lots of original looks!

I'm thinking about adding a part of c2a5 into the middle of the map.
What do you guys think of this idea?

As cool as that would look, keep in mind the sightlines and optimization issues that would come with that. A huge open area with 24 players running around is sure to tank your fps. However I think it could work if you shortened the dam and added cover. Just like my previous post, the level design between a single player and multiplayer game is going to differ significantly and the best you can do is make a map inspired by the other.

Are you just ripping geometry from Half-Life 1? I highly suggest against doing this, for reasons which should be obvious.

Please create your own geometry, don't just rip it from other games. It'd be in your best interests.

Actually it looks like its just being inspired by it, not just direct ripping. You can tell the degrees of the dam is different, and the shape.

I downloaded ctf_mesa, it definitely is just a HL1 rip. I also know the geometry of the dam quite intimately, I can tell that it was also just ripped.

I can also tell from the dam screenshot that he has a leak. There's also a leak in the current map.

EDIT: I just took this screenshot in Half-Life Source, it's exactly the same.

I use Half-Life Source's maps as a base, but adjust them in some ways.
    What's the big deal?

    Just a closing statement.

The big deal is that almost none of it is original. It wasn't built from the ground up by you for Team Fortress 2. Since it's from a Valve game, I don't see any "plagarism" here, but the biggest issue is the lack of effort and originality.

If you want to make a map based on Black Mesa, recreate the spaces yourself and give them some Team Fortress 2 flair.
