Hello all! Figured I would drop this here, since it is mapping related and I thought some of you might be interested. I'm sure the community could use your experience to help shape their ideas, so you are all more than welcome to participate by providing ideas and feedback.
What is it?
Make a Map is a community project where everyone in the community helps create a map for TF2. Each week we'll be discussing a certain aspect of the map (theme, first point, last point, etc) and the most popular ideas are the ones that will be implemented in the map.
Where do the discussions happen?
The weekly discussion will happen on the subreddit. The current discussion will be stickied. If you have an idea, go ahead and post it in the main thread, or create your own thread. If you don't have any ideas, but still want to give your input, be sure to upvote ideas you like, as the ones with the most votes are the ones that will get in.
Where can I learn more?
The best source of information is the YouTube playlist for the series. Videos will posted ~weekly showing the progress that's been made, as well as analyzing maps currently in the game. All of the mapping decisions will be made through r/makeamap and my Twitch when the mapping begins.
The map
The map is going to be Japan-themed Payload, as voted by the community.
