This is my first TF2 map, i know its very bad but im just learning to mapping :P

    koth_indev_a1 - This is my first TF2 map, i know its very bad but im just learning to mapping :P

    Hi, im AdriaLOL, im from Spain and this is my first map called koth_indev, its a King of the Hill map very similar to Viaduct. I have to say that its not perfect becouse i haven´t got any experience of mapping yet, im just learning how to make TF2 maps.

    I accept constructive criticism and i apologize for my really bad english.

    I have a few suggestions
    • Red spawn doors have windows but blu doesn't
    • Your cap zone is really tiny and not marked
    • That "grass" texture doesn't look very good at all imo, use a different one
    • There are a number of extreme sightlines (see the image)

    See how two of them go directly into spawn rooms. You should un-align your doorways and make paths slightly twisty to avoid this.

    Yes, you are right, but i fixed some sightlines on the alpha 2 update, I'll fix all those things right now :)

    Oh yeah, a thing i noticed on the map was that the displacements on the ground has multiple faces with displacements, which causes those wierd shadows on the ground, I belive this video from TopHATTwaffle can help you out

    Fixed some Op Sightlines for the sniper
    Fixed and Added a new texture to the ground on Mid
    Fixed the 3D Skybox so now looks a little better

    Special Thanks to Mr White Star for helping me with the displacements texture :D

    Added some decoration on the skybox
    Fixed a lot of textures
    Fixed Lighting on a fence
    Added overlays under the medikits and ammo packs

    I hope i will publish the beta version soon :)

    Added another entrance to the sniper building
    Added some decoration
    Added a Health Kit and a Ammo Pack on the transition building from spawn to the sniper building

    After a very very long time and a broken hard drive, i finished the alpha 7 version.

    This version is basically a new map:

    -I came back to dev textures, for better file size
    -Changed light_env entity for one similar to pl_borneo
    -Made the paths to the point smaller
    -Added Light Props
    -Changed the layout a little bit
    -Optimized a little bit
    -Fixed the reverse spawn doors
    -Removed 3D Skybox
    -Removed Fog
    -Removed some props (Like the trees of Mid)

    Anyways (we should just speak english here. :V),looks good. Probably a liiitle bit underscaled in some (or most) places,but it looks fun. We'll see how it plays.

    -Removed a "Bridge" for fixing an op sightline
    -Now the Mid Building is only accesible to soldiers, demos, winger scouts, and detonator pyros.
    -Changed the layout of one of the buildings
