How to blend map with 3d Skybox??

The title post says it all but for some additional details, I checked the sky_camera and it matches the same fog start and fog end with the env_fog_controller enttity within the map. Ive tested radial fog, fog blend, fog max density and no luck finding the smooth transition

I have. tho im finding proper workarounds (using fog.mdl model) to sell the illusion of fog to make the transition. Only problem is the model doesnt really have a good color to change to prop_dynamic and set color but, the best i can do as well is make a facade brush on the skybox to simulate the transition

both secondary and primary share the same color
ive only just changed the values to match fog end and fog start and it still doesnt seem to work

My only guess is that somehow fog blend is using the angles of the entity (which it's not supposed to do unless the keyvalue to make it do so is set) as the basis for the fog direction.
