I am very new to hammer and want to add a couple new things to my editor and so I downloaded a texture that was in .bsp form in a .zip folder where do i have to put the .bsp file to make it appear in hammer so i can apply it to walls. Thanks in advance.

    Short version:
    1) Convert an image to the .vtf format (you can use vtfedit for this)
    2) write a material (.vmf) file that dictates the properties of the texture (vtfedit or notepad if you're experienced)
    3) put the files in your tf2 directory

You can find an in-depth guide here

Uh... Textures are not .bsp files.
.bsp is the file format for compiled maps.
