i want a player clip to have the sound effects of wood to emulate a smooth wooden staircase, but it defaults to the footstep sounds of concrete. ive tried extracting the vmt for the player clip and adding '"$surfaceprop" "wood"' to it and compiling the map using that texture, but it still uses the concrete sounds. anybody know how to do this?
