Had an odd dream last night-

@Ms. Mudpie was friends with a fraternity that was developing using the HTC Vive dev kit, and ended up bringing one of the kits from them to me. The pictures you see below are of my luxurious beachfront home, recalled from memory and made in Hammer (without any major layout changes).

Note: I've never actually met Mudpie in person.

And thus ends the photography line with my iPhone 5. It's been a good run, but its battery was just beginning to die out on me, and performance was beginning to drop significantly. Anything I take a photo of now will be done with an iPhone 6S .

Why is where you live just SO beautiful?! I'm not even sure if I've ever seen a true old-fashioned windmill in person.

Well, Zaandam is home to places like De Zaansche Schans which is THE tourist attraction in the region, with 1.5 million yearly visitors. We pioneered the traditional Dutch windmill. We had around 1600 of them in the late 19th century.

About Live Photos: I don't care about them. At all. Nor do I care about 4K recording. Just give me a great shooter. Also: sunsets give good pictures.

OK, I gotta intervene here: There's no call for posting an image that huge. That's over 32 goddamn megabytes.

As a matter of fact, there is really no call for ever uploading a 4K image as a PNG in the first place because on a retina screen, the human eye literally can't see JPEG artifacts.
