Festive Payload Cart - A payload cart filled with presents

A little bit out of season, but hey.

"Since the cart is shorter than the actual cart, if you swap the default model with this one, move the model itself forward in hammer. Otherwise when phys_constraint is broken and cart is about to drop into the pit, it can fall backwards and never drops into the pit."

Another good idea would be to have the festive wep flashing lights on the back of the payload.

That would look awesome, unfortunately this is already a pretty high poly model (even with LOD) due to the presents' bows. I suppose I could add lights as a separate model so people can use them if it's practical, and leave them out if there are issues with performance.

The smoothing looks weird. Did you just take a decompile without fixing the smoothing?

I'd propably use this on my map but i think the blue cart is too blue. Making those presents have lighter blue instead so dark would make them look much better and detailed or some different contract color should be used. Just look at the RED version - yellow box with red wrapping on it works perfectly. While the blue... doesn't.

I see what you mean now that you mention it, I'll get on that and put an update out soon

I think you should either use the light blue from the small presents, or the same yellow as the red presents. Think Engineer's hardhat: same yellow, two teams.

I think what I'll do is put both ^this one and the light blue one i posted before as seperate skins, so people can choose which they like best.

Make sure you fix the one present on the light blue skin ;)

Also the blue and yellow just looks like a minion now :eek:

Both of the candidates you posted look much better than the original one. Davekillerish also brought out a valid point, maybe make it more festive with lights or add some decoration around the cart wooden top edge? Or something else festive? Keep it up!

I think he updated the images in the post with new images. I think i'm going to use this, because it fits the theme of the map. I'll let you know later when it's done.
