Played this in a 6s pug and it was exactly a better Gpit.

I assume you've already seen the feedback on TFTV.

Yes, I have watched the streams and taken the feedback into account. Many thanks for the test and I hope to have this pugged many times again in the following weeks.
Expect a vastly greater a7 pretty soon.

- Nerfed sightlines a lot
- Changed health pack positions and added lots of new medpack spawns
- Detailed around C a lot and in the OoB areas around A and B
- Added easier way to access C as RED team from spawn
- Clipped judiciously, especially on the connectors
- Deleted many pillars and nerfed many sticky positions
- Fixed areas where soldiers could hide on the cliffs
- Added better skybox and areaportal loading, preventing the insides of buildings from being seen in the air
- Made setup gates non-see-through
- Removed the invisible roof clipping in the BLU spawn enabling jumpers to have fun there
- Added protection and bettered the holding position for BLU setting up before C in the A>C connector
- Edited the walkways around B a bit

Wait, if nightwatch is the new Yyler, and if PDT is the new Tarry, we are going to need new everythings!

Now, to feedback, I can only say I was right. This will be a sucessful comp map, hear me. MY PREVISIONS WERE DAMN RIGHT!

Championing King of the Flag since February 27th, 2013.

And since when did I become the next Yyler?

Gamedays. He isn't able right now, you are, TechTF still is...

Ignore the double post.

I said, in the first reply, that this map was probably going to be sucessful with comp players.
And, so far, it has been preety well-recived.

Anyway, that's what happens when I don't sleep well.

One thing that I'd like to address: why do people seem to think this map is too "open"? The actual size of the arenas are comparable and quite smaller than most official maps', and I was even thinking to expand A a little. If anyone can actually provide a legit reason why the map is so "open" I'll be willing to change it but unless that happens I won't be making anything smaller.
A8 is gunna be out in the next few weeks, no rush there. Probably gunna be getting a couple PUGs of this map over the weekend so I can get some conclusive feedback on the gameplay. All the while, I'll be detailing it with mostly a mix of brick/wood and a bit of the construction pack.
Sadly I won't be using as much of the pack as I originally planned to use because I'd like to be keeping filesize to a minimum, since other maps using lots of custom content had been shunned from the comp scene because they were too big.

If anyone doesn't have any rebukes to the overall layout of the map I'll be starting to detail. Expect an A8 in the coming weeks.

Keep in mind that the relatively small physical size of your map will probably make up for the amount of custom content. A lot of the filesize of a map is taken up by lightmaps, which is generally proportional to the physical size; according to Rexy, that's actually the major reason Zinkenite is so huge (three-stage A/D with a lot of brush-based detailing), not the custom content.
