Don't Taze me Bro: The Next Generation! - shocking

A complete overhaul of "ctf_Don't_taze_me_bro" map.

New Layout, new rooms and new features!

In case someone complains the screenshots are taken using Garrys mod, my Team Fortress 2 is still not working yet. I'm trying to get that sorted asap.

So that's one question resolved... However, at the risk of sounding like an ass, i really must sate my curiousity and ask another question:

Is this an honest, actual attempt at making a TF2 map? Or is it just for screwing around in?

It is an actual tf2 map because it can be played in tf2. It's not an attempt, it is. Now if you are asking if it's goal is to adhere to stock gameplay design and aesthetics, that's another question, but I think the answer there is obvious.

Acting like stock tf2 design is the only way to be is just elitist, and frankly not welcome on the site.

If you aren't interested in the map and have nothing constructive to add, please don't comment.

I get what you're trying to do, but this is literally a man who made a map called "nippletwister" I am pretty sure he doesn't care about stock tf2 design.

I am also pretty sure he's the most constructive out of all the replies so far, why aren't the others touched if he was?

I think a better question to ask would be if the author wants people to view, play, and critique this map as if we were playing any other alpha build of a CTF map. I think the question is valid since the art/style of the map itself isn't standard to anything else, but feel free to disagree.

Then I'm surprised they don't have more sympathy for someone trying to create outside of the box.

Cynder gets dogpiled on every time they post a map here because they don't follow the norms. I don't personally agree with how they generally present their projects or what they are making, but that doesn't matter, they have just as much of a right to post their projects here as anyone else, and I'm getting tired of seeing every thread devolve into the same crap.

Because he is the only one to post about his disdain for the map 3 times, culminating in implying they aren't creating "actual" tf2 maps. I really sincerely don't understand why people can't just not post and leave things alone if they are that bothered by it.

btw. use these commands to disable the hud and view models.

(i dont remember if sv_cheats 1 needs to be present for these to work)

The lighting is pretty dark,going by the screenshots. Could you brighten it up?

Also, there's a lot of HL2 assets used in this. This is usually seen as not a good idea. Could you swap them out for their closest TF2 equivalents if-and-where possible?

The lighting has been fixed since the screenshots were taken.

Minor update:

*layout slightly changed
*admin room cameras and console fixed.
* admin now controls both bases B2 floor oxygen supply. The admin can turn it off and on. note: 2 second warning before area is sealed...
