Diorama - Choo choo!

Hi! I present to you my latest train-based disaster. This is nominally 3cp Attack/Defense with a twist - The first and last capture points are the same one! I am hereby dubbing this gamemode "Boomerang A/D".

As for the map itself: BLU is interested in some cargo that RED is keeping on two freight wagons. Their plan is to use a locomotive to steal the cargo. Move traversers, turn turntables, and change switches to get BLU's locomotive to its destination and back (or prevent BLU from doing...

a1 - let's fucking go

First playtest went well.
-removed RED's first spawn: forward spawn is now the only spawn
-added another exit to RED's spawn
-made RED's spawn lobby safer and rebalanced pathing
-fixed collision on train while on traverser (thanks Sprinkles!)
-testing new geometry around B
-fixed some sightlines around A
-replaced some textures
-idk some other stuff this is an alpha

a3 - new stuff

  • Added beautiful new train cars by Sprinkles
  • Various new pieces of vscript logic by Sprinkles
  • New final control point and complete area
  • Rebalanced existing control points
  • Made Traverser Act II capturable again immediately after it was captured
  • Various minor layout and sightline improvements
  • Warehouse flank is now locked until A is captured

a5 - the B update

  • Streamlined Blu's path to B
  • Added new underground flank at B but removed long flank under train bridge
  • Made path to B separate from B area, making it safer and easier to navigate
  • Changed A2 to only be capturable after B has been captured
  • Added unlock countdown visuals and voicelines for all capture points
  • Improved various signage
  • Simplified pathing, removed some dynamic elements
  • Made train behave more consistently and (hopefully) less likely to randomly kill...
