that's awesome. I felt that stage 2 was just the "in between" area with nothing special it could offer.

you have some REALLY neat ideas here, an I hope ramrod turns out for the best

I agree, it seems like a pretty cool map although I only got a few rounds with minimal players on it.

If it's the one I'm thinking of at the moment the very first point needs more cover, too easy to cap, too hard to defend. (that being said, whether or not it's the first cap I'm thinking of I know it was a fun map, just played a few new ones that day)

I've been playing cp_boulder since it was in alpha stages as cp_mrmof (who is incidentally the map creator). He has a mapping blog at mrmof.com, and he's a very, very good mapper. He made ctf_moonwalk, the only map in tf2 I think that has localized gravity. He's a really gifted modeler, mapper, and artist.
