So apparently all the entries are getting metals! However, I have seen some debate over what metal should be picked.

I know I am missing some so feel free to post yours.

Anyway, TF2M what should we pick?

I'm a dumbass. I didn't even notice the GIANT hammer in the engies hands...

Ritz's hammer, but about 20 times as big with the Sledgehammer attack animation and for all classes. If you miss and hit the ground it should stun all within a 128 unit radius with alt fire being a block bullets shield.

Or just Ritz's hammer.

Or if it has to be a pin, Matt's 2nd one, since it has a unique look which sets it apart from the other pins in the game.

Not trying to be mean to Ritz (And he's pretty cool for reading my mind about my next idea ) but:

Ritz' hammer would be class specific. It wouldn't work well with some of the classes (Pyro, Heavy, Spy) and people seeing more class-specific weapons (like the L4D frying pan) would probably upset people.

I personally think the order of best to worst goes Matt 2 > Matt 1 > Ritz > ZPQ

However, like Ned said, Ritz' wouldn't work with many classes, and therefore that's a major downside to it :/

Matt1 or Ritz. Matt2 just seems really plain, while ZPQ's cuts into the character, as shown, and is almost as plain.

I'd say Matt 1. It's much easier for me to choose over which medals I use to show off as they wont affect my gameplay whereas having to choose between wrangler or hammer...build mini-sentries or show off a hammer...

I like the idea but I can only see it fitting with the engy. Plus there's already a hammer in the game. How about getting a named item instead? Mappers Nappers Respite

zpq's is the best, because it has a nice shape. And I like simplicity.

I love the little melee hammer, but the Matt1 medal looks really spiffy as well. If Valve doesn't want to add more weaponry clutter (which, er, isn't too weird), the medal is more than amazing.

In retrospect, I'm not liking having to have so many medals (ETF2L, Duel, Hammer, Soldier, Join Date) and only be able to wear one per class, so I'd like the Hammer instead. Simply because it's a hammer and not another friggin' medal.
