Hai! This is my first post here, and my first time I will be deciding to participate in an event like this, but I do plan on contributing writing something for this.

I want to do something a bit special, as a long time ago, back in 2011 I was fascinated by early internet horror, myths, and of course creepypastas. It got me to even write a short poem of sorts based on the Pyro, since I figured it was make sense to blend the two things I love together. However, not only it was somewhat cringe-inducing when I think about it now (like I recall rhyming 'Pyro' with 'Hydro', ugh) but I also feel like I could do way better now. Plus I can't seem to find it now on the wiki I posted onto, as I believe it may have been deleted or unarchived (which I understand).

I plan on doing this in a story that contains elements of nursery rhymes, some familiar melodies, and of course horror! I will be posting any sources and research I will be using for my writing whenever I am able to (as I am in the middle of writing something else right now that I do not wish to be too distracted from just yet), but I will make sure to provide some before the start of the Jam.

I'm quite excited! :3 Best of luck to everybody else joining and contributing.

My partner in crime(Khatterman) has unfortunately had something come up and won't be able to participate during the normal hours. Would it be possible to set our window from monday the 16th 02:00 UTC to thursday the 19th 02:00 UTC?

I feel the need to remind people as I see submissions already. The jam has not started yet and if you have not told us you are doing it at another time, then that entry does not qualify! It's written in the jam rules!
You may not work outside of the hours of December 13, 5:00pm UTC and December 16, 5:00pm UTC.

I should've mentioned it here but I forgot, my bad. I had to start on my entry this evening since I'll be gone the entire day tomorrow, I intend to pick up where I left off Saturday morning and otherwise stay within the jam window, adding up to 72 hours in the end. I have a busy December so there is no continuous 72 hour window for me to work in that I could've changed to anyway, today and this weekend are the only days where it's possible for me to participate. Will I still be eligible for the participant medal, even if I'm one day off for reasons beyond my control and forgot to mention it?

I don't see a problem with that since you're being transparent about it. A lot of people just don't tell us and expect the rules to bend for them.

I realized something that I thought I'd doublecheck just in case. I will be making a two-part cosmetic set. Would it be fine to finish it up along with a few promo images, submit those as my entry but hold off on actually uploading it to the Workshop until closer to summer? I'd still like it to have a chance of getting added to the game and I feel like uploading something this soon after Smissmas is a death sentence.

I've been making mirrored versions of Team Fortress 2 maps since 2010. Although I don't play TF2 nearly as much as I used to, its fun to come back for the Jams from time to time and add another Mirrored Map to the collection.

For this years entry I'll be making a mirrored version of Swiftwater.

Ill be streaming all weekend (Australian times!) as I make my entry. You can catch me on Twitch and Youtube while I'm live. It would be great if you get time to drop in and say hello. My twitch is also linked to my account here, so you might even find me on the featured streams as well.

You can check out Khuntza.net or my Steam Worksthop for all the previously released Mirrored Maps. There is also a community server with the maps. I'll be testing on it during the weekend as well. It's located in Australia, but you can check it out here if you'd like to join.

If you're unfamiliar with the mirrored maps, it can be quite fun and offputting to play a map you know so well when its been flipped. Here is a quick mock up of what the finished product might look like.

I hope everyone has a great Jam and I hope to see you in the streams!

We don't control the workshop. If it is to partake in the jam it needs to be uploaded in the allotted time.

Guys, has the event started?
No, there are timestamps in the forum post above.

I apologize for the late request but I'd like to start at a slightly later time of 10:00AM Mountain Standard Time December 14th through 10:00AM MST December 17th. Some things have popped up for me that would take a big chunk of time out of the 72 hours if I start at the normal time today.
