Has anyone ever tried to convert a HL2 map into a TF2 map?

By that I mean, has anyone ever taken a HL2 map (or a map from any of the episodes) and tried to develop it into a (playable) TF2 map?

Anyone can take a HL2 map, haphazardly throw in some gamemode logic to make it beatable, and call it a day, but it'd take a heavy overhaul to make it flow even remotely well in TF2. I'm wondering if anyone put in the effort to do it, and if not, how far along do they often get before giving up.

I'm not talking about whether this is a good idea or not, because it isn't (save a few edge cases).

I mean, gameplay aside, TF2 and HL2 are such starkly different games, that I really don't think the dystopian/darker tone of Half-Life would bode well with TF2's bright and toony art-style. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't try it though! :)

There was a mod called "Lambda Fortress" that pits the mercs in the original HL2 campaign. I don't know how far in development it got, though.

It's still being developed (it's in open beta), but that just has TF2 classes run through the Half-Life campaigns. It inspired this train of thought, but it's not what I'm looking for.

I remember a couple of VSH maps that used HL2 maps.
vsh_c17_square, vsh_nova_prospekt and vsh_c17_prison I believe they were called.
I'm aware that VSH doesn't exactly need pvp balanced maps though. But the maps were enjoyable enough to the point they were regularly picked on the server I was on.
