Copied and pasted from Interlopers, all credit to Kosire:

1. Open Alien Swarm SDK -> Edit Game Configuration -> Add

Edit so it matches your CSGO directory:
Name: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
Directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo

2. OK -> OK -> Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\alien swarm\bin -> Open GameConfig.txt

Edit so it matches your Steam directory and get this in:

It worked like a charm for me, but a few people have had problems with lighting and a few entities.

Sword, that's pretty sexy.

Yyler's building reminded me of Fallingwater because of the tall, 90-degree, stone architecture around the driveway.

this is actually a pretty coherent environment in my opinion, but you definitely need to work on a few things. I don't think many of your buildings or where they're placed makes any sense at all, and your disps look entirely unnatural.

If you're not done with your displacements that's fine, but keep in mind that those cliffs will need to cover a ton of surface area and change shape a bunch on each axis.

basically since you're using so much of those cliffs, the geometry had better be interesting as fuck to look at

Yeah. I'm wishing i'd worked out what the hell the buildings were when i placed them in dev, cos i've ended up with "uh, well, a... crank room?" "a car, so a garage" and "lots of pipes".

I hear ya on the cliffs, particularly up the top where i've got way more space to work with and a 3d skybox mountain, some day, to add in. For now, however, i really can't justify any more time on this map. What you see in the shots is more or less what you'll get in the contest submission.

(So if there's anything obvious/easy-to-fix, let me know.)

This is like asking me to ignore the faults of Capitalism swordfish. You know how bad I am at that.

Anyway, any time I can spend appreciating your pretty environment is lost because I can not stop focusing on the gigantic purple checkerboards that make up half the picture. Seriously, it takes a minute, tops, to build them, and reload the materials and map, there's no excuse for leaving them out.

Kind of been hastily working on this for the hell of it. Been like a 2-year hiatus of not actually trying to create a new map because I suck at it, but that's just because I don't try very hard.

Someone likes the Barnblitz aesthetic :)

Yeah, I do. I like snowy things, but I really liked a lot of the geometry in Barnblitz. I'm no good with dev textures though, so I tend to texture and detail things bit when I really want to visualize areas, so I sort of messed with the theme a bit.
