King of the Hill Sloth, a single control point map in which Red and Blu fight to determine the true owner of a rather unattractive rocky precipice. Expect to fall off cliffs and you won't be disappointed.

I like how you can use sick airstrafing skills to escape certain death. you're not entirely fucked if a pyro shows up

That was my intent with the point beneath. I may or may not keep it that way. Something definitely needs to be done about the openness of the point though.

I certainly have a replay of me as a Medic on final point of Frontier, airstrafing the pit of death like a fucking boss

A2 released!

Some notable changes include:

- added two miserable hoodoos to the deathpit
- added half a shack to the point
- made lights more intense throughout indoor areas
- put a pointless wall in the spawn area to block some LOS issues and make the area seem less large

Have you considered making the lower ledge jut out a bit so people can drop down easy to grab the health? Could be a safety net from pyroing and people love to pontificate about that risk/reward shit with the health pack.

I'd prefer leaving it the way it is if I can, but I suppose if popular demand requires it I can change things up. If you drop straight down from either of the corners you are guaranteed to land on the lower platform, and if you know anything about strafing then you can reach the bottom with relative ease as well. Sadly, this is a skill that has eluded most of the public TF2 community, and is likely to remain so.

That would be sweet. I turned the whole thing into a texture and put it up for the lolz while I worked on the map, it's amazing!

The round point and the square under-platform thing clashes with geometry. Sure, they player can't tell from the playing area but why would they have a circle above a square when building the facility?

For future versions (beta, likely) you could (if you do change it to a circle) repupose it as a logical thing, like a viewing room that has had the side broken, therefore allowing people to air strafe into it.

I dunno, imo the geometry clashes both visually and practically.
