So after the 119th update you found a whole load of textures disappeared, some useful poster overlays, some paint patches, dead lilies, windows and some doors..

I talked to some people at valve and they're looking into their removal, but until then you can perform a simple edit on the tf.fgd file to get them back.

First locate your tf.fgd in sourcesdk\bin\orangebox\bin\ then right near the top is the material exclusion bit. Just comment out the lines with cp_bloodstained, pl_hoodoo and pl_halfacre. That will redeem all of the useful textures from hoodoo and keep the blasted ambulance texture safely locked away in oblivion.

This is all driven by the FGD, so you could always edit your FGD to remove the new exclusions.

If you look in the top of tf.fgd, you'll see a section called @MaterialExclusion. You can delete or comment out lines in that list to get those folders back.

Now you can get back to using those textures. :)

Oh neat, thanks. I think I might remove Ambulance too, just feels weird not seeing them all the time.

I wonder if Boojum will update his Resource Pack or wait for Valve to fix it on their own.

Trying to do so right now actually... but it appears this will prove to be way more work than expected for me.

YM: Do you know what David's job is? Is he a Hammer coder or something?

I am unaware of David's job, Dario sent me to him.

David Speyrer is the programmer at Valve and project leader on Half-Life 2 Episode 2. While Valve were working on Half-Life 2, David was the cabal leader on the canal and citadel chapters.

So he has quite a part in the programming sector at Valve :O

I send an early version of PackBSP over to Mr. Speyrer since he was listed as a Hammer guy on their site. Never really got much in the way of feedback. (Guess they were busy.)

Damn, I need to get all this real-life work out of the way so I can release 2.0 and sit back sippin' lattes.

You need to add your own FGD, I just put it at the top of boojum's. Change the include line to your new fgd (NOT called tf.fgd) and this fgd is a carbon copy of tf.FGD except that it has those adjustments.
