I was "working" away, gathering items, making them into scrap metal, and I thought "I have a pyro token, I want 2 of the 3 pyro hats, I'll keep going, get 4 refined metals. Yeah!" but then I began to think that, knowing my luck, I would just end up with the one I didn't want (The beanie). Anyway, try and guess what I just crafted... :facepalm: The damn beanie...

Well, at least it is better than nothing I suppose.

Was fooling around and all suddenly i found Master's Yellow Belt.

I don't actually play sniper that much. But i was playing sniper when i found it.
Now i have a Fancy Fedora and the Yellow Belt...

So, should i craft them together?

Crafted the Tough Guy's toque, ohh, half a week ago. Another one of the best hats in the game if you ask me. I don't know why I'm so incredibly lucky all of a sudden, but I'm not complainging.

I was playing a TF2maps pug today and both our soldiers were wearing them. I really don't get the hype around it. I hope I get one so I could trade it for a Trophy Belt or...

Going on a server and doing nothing, in order to get random drops like hats.

I crafted my spy's hat with a yellow belt and got a beanie. Then I found an ushanka. I already had a football helmet. I found a demoman's bonnet. I crafted my ushanka with the helmet and i got a hatless scout (useless crap). I crafted the hatless hat with my beanie and i got a soldier's stash.

The hats I have now? Glengarry's bonnet and Soldier's Stash.


I'm crazy.

Several months of playing, and I got a hatless scout with my crafting materials, oh boy!!!

224 items later, I've crafted two stupid stovepipe hats. Still no afro.

In the meantime I've found two Brigade Helms as my first two random drops ever. Also gotten a couple other odd hats as drops, but I haven't been keeping track because any hat that isn't an afro or modest pile of hat (or isn't promised to someone in trade for one of those) gets crafted again. Currently my craft-fodder hat is a soldier's stash.

As a side note I was pretty happy to discover this evening that camera beards can be crafted with other spy items. I must have missed that change.

PS: Cerious I will hate you forever for trashing both an afro and a modest pile of hat.

Actually, I got a Pickelhaube randomly a few days ago, and I crafted it with the Rubber Glove. I got a level 100 Fro (which I'm keeping :thumbup

Today I've got my first "real" hat.
By crafting.
Which is in game from the middle of December.
And my hat is the Mining Light.
