Gameplay:
-Added new spawns for each team
-Moved spawns back
-Added a vent area you can access from the rooftop
-Lowered the outside flank route
-Added extra cover around the point
Visual:
-Redid all the displacements
-Turned the boring center shed with health and ammo into a satellite building
-Expanded the size of the out of bounds areas
-Made a snow retaining wall on one side of the map
Every class I play with feels good on it now. Spy feels good. Rocket jumping around feels good. Scout is fun, lots of things to jump to. Sniper also has a lot of choices of where to snipe from. Sticky jumping or pill spamming with demo is fun. Engi is fun, the new vents are a neat spot to put teleporters.
I think I'm close to my final layout, it really looks and feels good to me. It kinda feels like harvest with the big roof, small spawns, and open areas. The one area im not sure about is the courtyard immediately around the point, there is a lot of vacant space there. Maybe I'll just fill it with some props for cover.
The current 3D skybox is just rolling snow dunes, I'd like to make it a lot more interesting. I was having issues with the bright white snow reflecting too much in the 3D skybox, it looked as bright as staring into the sun itself, but I played with the textures and found one that wasn't super bright with obvious tiling and now it seems rather dim. Any suggestions to anything at all are very welcome.
Comes packed with a nav and bot hits for testing.
