Medieval koth_campfire a2b

MAJOR GOAL: Widen tight areas around the whole map.
  • Reworked the double shack that connected to the river; much larger and more open.
  • Widened the entire river.
  • Pushed the wall forward in the side house to open up the upper path and remove dead space in the lower one.
  • Widened the entire cave flank supremely to allow for more grand fighting.
  • Widened the staircase into the side house slightly.
MISC
  • Rotated the river rock to prevent new sightlines.
  • Added a decorative rock in the waterfall cove.
  • Moved the campfire back to the center of the point and moved the other props to the side.
  • Expanded the size of the campfire and re-added the trigger_hurt.
  • Toned down the fog across the entire map.
  • Added pickup patches.
  • Fixed broken / clipping pickups by changing it back to the default style (from the medieval/halloween style.)
  • Removed the campfire trigger_hurt zone.
  • Changed the water texture to water_well.
  • Added cubemaps near the river.
MAJOR GOAL 1: Widen and shorten the map
  • Removed the spawnroom courtyard. The spawnroom now directly connects to the first house area.
  • Widened and modified the first house to prevent aggressive spawncamping.
  • Added a new cave flank that is more isolated from the rest of the fighting (but still connected and primed for a pyroshark attack!)
  • Significantly widened the point and areas around the point.
  • Changed the door orientation on the double shacks to be much less narrow.

MAJOR GOAL 2: Change the flow of gameplay through props
  • Added various props around point to battle around.
  • Added braziers throughout important areas of the map.
  • Removed the giant rocks and windows in the underpass-dungeon area.
  • Added a barrel to the underpass-dungeon area so that you can (slowly) get up to the point without retreating.
  • Added wooden beams from the balcony to the point to connect the regions further.

MISC CHANGES
  • Lowered the KotH timer to 2 minutes a side and lowered the time before first cap to 20 seconds for more expedited gameplay.
  • Raised the skybox by 128HU to allow trimpers to fly freely.
  • Changed the sneaky waterfall flank to be a dropdown that leads directly to the river. The healthpack has been removed.
  • Smoothed out a previously bumpy rock wall.
