So i think generally people are good with layout and this tells me that i can go to beta now and start doing some detailing and small tweaking. So next step to start working on out of bounds areas and potentially skybox.
  • Fence off the turn after the left flank building. Didnt know why i didnt do it earlier
  • Blocked open window above the flank shack, because it was kinda not really fair spot. Gonna see how it's going to work out
  • Finally get rid of dev textures. Theres still job to be done but i now textured the whole map
  • Get rid of small healthpack from the left flank building
  • Some detailing, lighting and clipping adjustments
New version and new layout changes. With A6 and drastic map size changes theres appeared a problem with left flank. It was too tucked away from the spawn and route to left flank was "too early" as LizardOfOz said. So i changed it so players cleary see this route. And with changes to that flank i removed left wall with ammo, because it basically dont have purpose now.

  • Changed left flank so it more visible from spawn
  • Removed left flank wall with light and ammo
  • Make some adjustment to the ammo and health on the map
  • Add windows to the point again to see what happen
  • Added soundscapes!
  • Small detailing, light and geometry adjustment.
Big improvements on the size of the map, some layout changes and small detailing. Layout basically wont change but i want to check if right sizing improve the map and work in this direction.

  • Made size adjustment of the map with references to other arena maps
  • Changed left flank building
  • Make one spawn door instead of two to watch if its gonna make it better
  • More detailing and some minor adjustment
New version and new changes to the route. Also i start to detailing this map a bit.
  • Make left flank shorter so it now goes only through the left building, so theres not going to be problem with snipers an fog
  • Add some shipping containers to the right flank for cover and to make this area less open
  • Remove glass from capture point and make it bit bigger.
  • Remove side "alcoves" from the central building because now they dont have a purpose (they originally contain ammo) so now there more space
  • Changed some prop around small shack because it was confusing people into that you can jump on top of the shack
  • Some lighting, fog and clipping adjustment
  • Start some detailing
Most people were saying that middle upper flank (that was getting you through window to the side building) was unnecessary. It was difficult and kinda pointless because it lead you in the building that you can already access through your side of the map. So i removed it and with it i rid of middle spawn building also, as to people saying theres not enough room to fight around gates. So now theres neat courtyard before the middle point building for people to gather and push it. Also work with pickups on the map, because people said there was not enough of them, and i think there still some work to be done in this direction.
  • Remove upper middle flank
  • Remove building that get you access to this flank
  • Add some geometry to the left side building
  • Done work on puck ups, now there is two full ammopacks near point, two full ammopack and medium healthpacks on the flanks
  • Fixed lighting and fog for better visibility
  • Some geometry and detailing adjustment
Listening to feedback and still experimenting with some map layout with new side flank.

  • New side flank instead of last two, because i still didnt satisfied with it.
  • More health and ammo pickups due to feedback. It still maybe not enough but we'll see.
  • Redesign building on the left flank to have more routes.
  • Added more lighting, tweak light_environment and wierd shadows. Swap old bright skybox for temporary one because old one was really bright.
  • Some small fixes and tweakings.
Some small improvements to the map and attempt to star detailing it.

  • Rework right flank make it more open and elevated.
  • Make CP zone smaller so now there more room to fight.
  • Improvements to the side areas of the central building (made balconies lower and made new door to access central zone from a side building.
  • Some other small improvements.
