Product Update - Valve
Updates to Team Fortress 2 have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

Engine (CS:S, DoD:S, TF2, HL2:DM)
Removed the rate limit for the "status" command when entered into the server console
Fixed an exploit that allowed people to send fake server messages to clients
Significantly improved engine vertex compression (large reduction in per-model memory usage)

Team Fortress 2
-Added TF2Maps.net Art-pass contest winners:
-Mountain Lab
-Mann Manor
-Halloween 2010 Event
-Mann Manor is haunted by the Horseless Headless Horsemann.
-Random gift drop in Mann Manor.
-4 new Halloween achievements.
-Added new Halloween hats.
-Added a new Halloween weapon.
-Added Gift Wrapping of gifts to the store.
-Added Custom Description tag to the store.
-Added the community created "Swamp Theme" assets, so all maps can use it: See http://swamp.tf2maps.net/ for full details.
-Updated cp_coldfront with the latest changes from the community creator (Icarus):
-Improved visibility on last CP.
-Moved second CP slightly closer to the attacker's side.
-Added cover for players queuing up the health pack on the second CP.
-Improved clipping on the zig-zag ramp to middle CP.
-Teams that capture the middle CP are now awarded with faster spawn times.
-Added a health penalty to the Rocket Jumper.
-Added the Sticky Jumper for Demomen to practice jumping.
-Fixed the Sandvich charge meter.
-Fixed glows not drawing correctly when using antialiasing on some computers.
-Improved the checks that trigger mp_scrambleteams_auto.
-Added console commands to initiate trades directly (cl_trade/cl_trade_steamid) to help people running trading servers

Awesome stuff! :thumbup: No more having to avoid the swamp assets because I don't feel confident in Pakrat to work right for me/my own ability to put in everything I used in the map! :p And Art Pass maps at last! I've been wanting to get my hands on the Mann Manor assets for the holiday CP contest thing...

About the art-pass stuff... Dang, now my unit-tests for PackBSP aren't going to be quite so useful... Need to find other content for future testing.

Wow, artpass maps got in faster than I expected.

Makes sense that they'd get them in by Halloween IMO, seeing as they had a new Halloween one to add. :p

I totally missed last year's Halloween event (decided the day before to go cold turkey on TF2 because I felt like I was getting uncomfortably obsessed - little did I know what would happen the next day D:), so I'm anxious to participate this time.

Almost 2am now...Gonna be staying up a lot later after reading that.

I feel bad for 3dnj atm. His map is going to have VERY few plays over the next week...

Also, they've updated the old gibus... Renamed it "ghastlier gibus"

They must've only added the used assets, no sign of the hurricane skies (haven't checked for the other stuff).

Would you gents kindly help with this then? I did the Harvest ones way back but I don't feel like doing this one =P

edit: I extracted and JPG-fied the skybox, now I just need the lighting values. Neither vmex nor bspsrc can decompile cp_manor_event.

edit edit: Never mind that, the problem is that I can't extract anything from the gcf file because it's too big to fit in my RAM.

For some reason, Valve have forgotten the skyboxes, the particles, the detail sprites and the soundscapes.

Did they 'forget' everything that isn't in Youme's map or did they include things that aren't? If it's the former, then they might've misworded that patch note.
