Overlay [WIP]Red bread overlay

I saw the blu overlay of a spanner with the word "BLU" as the handle (sign052) but couldn't an appropriate red alternative.
So I started making this:

It's supposed to look like a loaf of bred but I'm having trouble making it look good. I'm not good with photoshop, but if someone could suggest how I could make it look more bread-y (incisions in the top where my initial plan) that would be great.

ooh btw, if someone has already made something similar, please point it out for me.

Maybe if you put either a dog near it or maybe some sandwhich fillings inside it.
Also isn't there already a red bread overlay saying red bread?

there is indeed, but I wanted something different (the bread thing is to try and keep with the theme on the one you mentioned)

I did google it, didn't come up with anything I wanted, and I did try it myself but it looked fugly. I'm asking for advice on how to make such incisions really.
I'll have another go anyway in a sec.

ok, I've had another go. this is what I've ended up with:

Tell me what you think, I'll probably release it with the next version of the map (convection, my contest entry) and will update it with any suggestions you have.
I'll probably add that TM logo onto it too.

i like it. very good. maybe put bread underneath of it but smaller. at the moment its just sort of the word red with a loaf on top.

I don't think that RED being compared to bread is very similar to BLU being a spanner. But it looks good none the less.

I think it works, it'd be better if it was a sack of wheat or something (less separation between the farming reference) but that doesn't rhyme.

the reason I went for "red bread" is because there is already an overlay with that on it. but that did have a picture of wheat on it... anyway, if you don't like "red bread" complain to valve not me

BLU is a spanner because it stands for "builders league united". RED stands for "Reliable Excavation Demolition". So consider that when designing RED's logo.
