Well, I'm off to build a computer after my current one is undoubtedly and permanently dead. I'm going for a decision between one of two builds, here they are. What do you think I should go for?
Feel free to mix and match.
AMD/ATI Build
Case: Antec Nine Hundred
Power Supply: Antec TruePower 650
Motherboard: Asus Crosshair IV
Processor: AMD Phenom II X6 Black Edition (Not sure if I should get this or an AMD quad core though)
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon 5770
RAM: Haven't chosen a brand but I'm looking at 4-8 GB DDR3
Hard Drive: Some generic 500-750 GB hard drive, haven't chosen a brand yet
Estimated cost (without tax): $1300
Intel/Nvidia Build
Case: Antec Nine Hundred
Power Supply: Antec TruePower 650
Motherboard: Asus P6X58D Premium
Processor: Intel Core i7 930
Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 260
RAM: Haven't chosen a brand but looking at 4-8 GB DDR3
Hard Drive: Some generic 500-750 GB hard drive, haven't chosen a brand yet
Estimated cost (without tax): $1500
Also, are there any cost-saving measures I could take to save a bit on the computer?
Feel free to mix and match.
