when im under some of the water on my map it seems as if i can see through the ceiling over the water like this:
so thats the problem now here the context:
this yellow wire frame is the collection of water brushes for this 'body' of water
i dont have this issue past this grey brush (where the brush is on top of the water brush)
there are 2 other ,bodies of water near this one
im compiling with all normal (no fast or skipped steps)
ive tried: sealing the top of the effected water brushes with no draw and hint brushes as well as adding cubemaps to the effected water faces, neither changes fixed anything.
i think this might be a similar issue to here: https://tf2maps.net/threads/water-cuts-off-rendering-watch-screenshots.49928/ but the conclusion to that thread was not very helpful.
looking at the "Adding Water" valve dev wiki page (https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Adding_Water) it says "There may be only one water level height in a PVS if the water is expensive." that rule might be getting violated here. IDK.
i would appreciate any help or ideas yall have.
if ive left out any helpful information please let me know and ill try to get it.
