I made a Gravelpit version of this gametype for my server community and we've been loving it but I made an account on tf2maps to report a bug since it's hopefully the right place. Players who die as the mobster will respawn with the mobster model remaining if they select heavy before spawning. I haven't verified it on Emergent and Breakout because they don't use the mobster/aren't updated but the installation process is simple enough so I assume the bug is real. Thank you for this cool project.

This bug is indeed present. I was working on a proper big update, but maybe I should make a hotfix for this bug specifically in the meantime.

Since you're doing a hotfix you should know that there's a typo in vip_nag.nut which says "Capture to the Control Point"

LizardOfOz updated VIP (VScript Gamemode) with a new update entry:

vip_mobster_feb18_2025

Major script rewrite as we're preparing for the release. Actually, it's 3 updates stacked on top of each other.

Update 1:​

  • Overall code rewrite.
  • Updated the assets.
  • Added the HUD compass pointing to the VIP (visible to both teams).
  • VIP's wallhack outline now reflects the VIP's health like the flag carriers do.
  • Tommy Gun rebalance: each shot deals more damage, but at a slower rate.
  • Added the damage stages for The Lead Pipe - clean, mildly bloody...
